# Get in on the Trampoline Fun with a Bounce Board!

This is a great new accessory for anyone interested in extreme sports and trampolines.

The bounce board is a soft, flexible polyethylene foam board that resembles a snowboard or a skateboard, and lets users get an extreme-sport experience right on the backyard trampoline.

Are you a snowboarder who wants to spend the summer honing your moves? The bounce board is designed to improve spatial awareness, increase flexibility and boost your confidence, allowing you to see and feel a difference when you return to the slopes.

Do your kids want to practice surfing before you head back to the beach? Bounce boards are made from the same type of foam valued by kayakers and boogie boarders in Hawaii for its strength and durability.

## Before we go any further, we should say a few words about safety.

**We’ve already published a list of safety tips for regular trampoline use, but now we wanted to offer a few ways to get the most out of your [JumpSport bounce board](http://www.swingsetwarehouse.com/products/trampolines/alley-oop/bounce-board/) while staying safe:**

1. Bounce boards are only recommended for meeting ASTM safety standards.
2. These boards were designed with safety in mind, but users should still exercise caution. This is an extreme sport.
3. Before using a bounce board, remove your shoes. We recommend other safety precautions, such as helmets, mouth guards, knee and elbow pads and wrist guards.

5. Only allow one person on the trampoline at a time.
6. If you’re at a trampoline park, adhere to the rules and make sure you have enough space. Do not jump near someone who is much bigger than you.
7. Safety nets and spring padding are recommended, although they may not prevent all injuries.
8. Attach the board to your feet once you’ve climbed on the trampoline.
9. Keep your head erect, your eyes fixed on the perimeter of the trampoline and begin bouncing. Practice a “stop bounce” by bending your knees as the board encounters the trampoline surface.
10. Do not attempt tricks such flips and/or somersaults unless you’re under the direct supervision of a professional athletic coach or gymnastic trainer. This type of tricks can result in severe injury or death. Direct supervision means one-on-one supervision, with the coach or trainer within arms’ length of the student.
11. The holes in the bounce board are for hand grabs only. Do not put your hands all the way through them.
12. Do not jump off a trampoline to dismount.
13. Do not remove the bounce board or attempt to dismount while you’re still jumping.
14. If you’re using a water trampoline, make sure you’re wearing a personal floatation device such as a life jacket.
15. Avoid damaging the board by only using them on trampolines with a padded deck.
