Some of our best summer memories aren’t of the beach, or amusement parks or faraway vacations, but of adventures that happened [right in our backyards](https://blog.swingsetwarehouse.com/creating-a-kid-friendly-backyard).

When we were growing up, if we didn’t know something, we had to ask an adult or head to the library.

These days, our kids can find out about anything, thanks to the internet. And that sounds pretty good, until you realize your kids can find out about *anything*.

Our kids are way more tech savvy than we ever were. Our parents had to worry about us watching too much TV, or maybe spending too much time playing video games.

We worry about who our kids are meeting online, what they’re viewing or just whether all their time in a digital domain has left them [disconnected from the physical world](https://blog.swingsetwarehouse.com/creating-a-kid-friendly-backyard).

Kids love digital devices and games, so much so that it might be tough to tear them away from their screens and convince them to go outside.

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a way to combine indoor games and outdoor play?

The people at [Springfree Trampolines](http://www.swingsetwarehouse.com/products/trampolines/springfree) have found a way to do just that with tgoma, the first outdoor interactive digital gaming system.

Kids spend more time-consuming media each week – 60 hours -- than most adults do at their jobs, while only devoting 60 minutes a week to playing outside.

If you’re a parent – or you can remember being a kid – this scene will probably sound familiar:

*“Mom/Dad, we’re bored.”  “Go outside and play.”  “But there’s nothing to Do outside.”*

It would be nice to remove the “there’s nothing to do argument” from your kids’ arsenal, wouldn’t it? With that in mind, we’ve put together a few tips for making outdoor play more enjoyable.
